Affiliate disclosure
Some links in a Boirelle routine earn us money. Here is exactly how, and exactly what it does not change.

The short version
When a routine step recommends a specific product, the link to buy it is usually an affiliate link. If you buy through it, Defo Labs LTD may receive a commission from the retailer. You pay the same price you would have paid otherwise — the commission comes out of the retailer’s margin, not your pocket.
Every routine carries the line we may earn a commission from these links at the bottom of the screen, on the web and in the app.
What decides a recommendation
The product for a step is chosen from a catalogue we maintain by hand. The analysis picks a category — a hydrating primer, a cream blush — based on what it read in your skin and what the occasion and the time budget call for. Our catalogue then supplies the product for that category.
That order matters. The analysis never sees commission rates, never sees which links are affiliate links, and cannot choose a product. It picks the kind of thing your face needs; we decide, in advance and for everyone, which product represents that category well.
What we will not do
- Add a step to a routine because a product pays well.
- Recommend a product we would not use ourselves.
- Let commission rate decide which product represents a category.
- Hide that a link is an affiliate link.
You never have to buy anything
Every step names its product category and tells you what to do. If you already own a hydrating primer, use it. The named products are a convenience for when you do not, not a requirement for the routine to work.
Programmes
We participate in retailer and brand affiliate programmes. Links may be tagged with an identifier that tells the retailer the visit came from Boirelle. Those links are marked rel="sponsored nofollow" so search engines understand them correctly.
